Abstract

This article details a methodology to calculate an expected corrosion rate of grounding equipment in electrical earthing systems. It is carried out from a utility perspective, taking into account a potential lack of information, as well as the necessity to do a straightforward implementation.A tool STRIGES is developed to implement the proposed methodology. It provides two simulation possibilities according to the complexity of earth resistivity description.
