Abstract
This project assessed the use of stationary energy storagesoperated by intelligent software to find optimal operationmodes and to adapt it to the changing load conditions inlow voltage networks. The goal is to develop anautonomous energy storage controlling software thatcreates revenues of price ranges of the daily day-aheadmarket while also considering and assessing load peaks inlow voltage networks. Furthermore, installation of thissoftware should be as easy as possible with only minorknowledge of the respecting grid and the need for externalcommands should be as little as possible.During the project it has been shown that the proposedalgorithm performs under computer simulatedcircumstances as expected. In addition, hardwareexperiments by using a 30 kW/100 kWh vanadium redoxflow battery and an adjusted low voltage grid shows thecapability of the control software under realisticconditions.
