Abstract
During the operation of the LVDC distribution system in the building of Nanjing Golden Cooperate DC Power Distribution Technology. Co.,Ltd., we find that some faults may occur inthesystem,for example DCgroundfault, DCshort circuitfault, AC intrusionDC,DCinsulation reduction and other faults.In order to solve the aboveproblems,it’s urgent to study DC fault protectionto deal with theabove typical faults.The causes offaults and theirevolutionary processare analyzedin this paper, anda power electronic protection strategybased on power electronics technology,digital control technologyand relay protection principleis proposed,whicheffectively integratesthe DC protection with the power electronictransformer,and canrealize the active isolation and intervention of the above faults.The strategywiththe effective coordination between the protection action logic and control logiccan realize the protection and failure isolation based on the topology structure and the operation mechanism of the power electronictransformer.The principle,methodand functional compositionof theACP(ACP, short foractivecomprehensiveprotection)are analyzed,the protection mechanism and criterion of ACP, as well asthe research status of DC distribution protection are expounded in this paper .Theresultsof the actual application in the LVDC systemshow thatACPcan realize the rapid and accurate isolation of the faults in DC distribution system,the control and protection strategy is reliable in operation and quick in action,whichensuresthesteady and reliable operation of thesystem.
