Abstract

This paper presents an overview of the results obtained during the first year of the INTERPLAN project, which aims to develop an integrated network operation planning tool to support the EU in reaching the expected low-carbon targets while preserving network security and reliability. The integrated tool means in terms of voltage levels, going from high voltage down to low voltage levels, and in terms of forming a bridge between static, long-term planning, as well as considering operational issues through the introduction of controllers in the operation planning.
