Abstract
In order to provide electricity to customers, the distribution system uses various types of equipment such as switches, pole transformers, and cables. In general, when a ground fault accident occurs in a distribution line, it is necessary to search for the location where the accident occurred and to identify the equipment that caused the accident, so that it takes a lot of time to recover from the accident. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examining the characteristic of the method to estimate the accident point applying resonance frequency analysis using current waveform in the accident and to verify the accuracy of the fault point localization and the effectiveness of the method through fault tests in the simulated distribution line.
