dc.description.abstractWith both energy production and consumption becomingmore electrified, the low-voltage distribution grid will playan increasingly important role in the future. Dutch DSOsalso expect that the dynamics of future load cycles willaccelerate degradation of their low-voltage cable systems.For these reasons, they are exploring ways to measure thequality of their low-voltage networks. An identified methodbased on measuring intermittent current peaks wastransferred from laboratory tests to live grid monitoring.Promising and interesting results from thesemeasurements are presented in this paper.
