Abstract
This paper will describe the analysis of harmonic distortion levels recorded as part of a continuous power quality survey on a distribution network. Measured levels of voltage total harmonic distortion (THD v) have been analysed with regard to both variation over time and also the load characteristics of the monitored site. For the purpose of this study, the sites were grouped according to whether the predominant nature of the connected load was commercial, industrial or residential. The survey consisted of two commercial sites, eight industrial sites, and eight residential sites. 99% cumulative probability statistics were calculated for the purpose of knowing the total harmonic voltage levels at each site. Then comparing between the total harmonic voltage level for three main load categories
