Abstract
In Japan, grid-connected photovoltaic power generation (PV) has increased rapidly, resulting in non-linear voltage fluctuations in the distribution system. Conventional voltage estimation methods cannot account for such fluctuations due to voltage phase changes based on the current phase change. Voltage control equipment is therefore unable to maintain line voltage in the distribution system within a specified range. In this paper, we propose a novel voltage-estimation method for the distribution system of large-scale PV installations. The validity of the proposed method was verified through comparison with power flow calculations and good results were obtained.Publisher
