dc.description.abstractVoltage events, namely voltage dips, are not as heavily regulated as continuity of supply, although they can have a similar economic impact on industrial customers as interruptions. Before setting limits of voltage dips for regulatory purposes, a detailed analysis of historical records has to be carried out and different aspects of voltage event assessment have to be considered. In the first part, the results of long-term voltage dip monitoring in the MV system of the company E.ON Distribution are presented. Numbers of dips recorded in individual years are compared to find out the pattern of dip occurrence. In next part, some aspects connected with voltage dip assessment, e.g. counting of multiple dips or clusters of different events (combination of dips and swells or interruption), severity of the events and responsibility for cause of events, are discussed and their impact on number of expected dips is illustrated on the assessment of measurement records.
