Abstract
This article presents a publicly available power system model suitable for studying switching transients considering the effect of resonances, as well as the spread of harmonics. The model covers voltage levels from 400 kV to 400 V, with all relevant parameters included. The system is characterized by a large share of cables at transmission level, with a first resonance frequency between 100 and 150 Hz. This article describes the overall layout of the model as well as the modelling of different components. Application examples are given, including the study of transfer impedances and transformer energization transients. Limitations of the model and further developments of the model are provided.Publisher
