Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for the characterization of residential quarters and for their conversion into “energy cells” under consideration of the “energy cells approach” [1]. The primary objective of this investigation is to achieve a climate-neutral residential quarter by increasing the degree of energetic self-sufficiency using renewable energy sources and climate friendly technologies. The developed methodology is applied to a real residential quarter in Germany. The results of the application of the developed methodology are also discussed in this article.Publisher
